50 years after he first took the Apollo Theater stage as a 12-year-old music prodigy, the Harlem venue has announced that Stevie Wonder will be inducted into its Hall of Fame during a ceremony scheduled for June 13.

The gala will include a concert and awards ceremony, according to NPR.

Wonder has recorded more than 30 top ten singles in the U.S., and won 22 Grammy Awards, a record for a solo artist. In addition to being a member of both the Rock and Roll and Songwriters’ Hall of Fame, he has sold over 100 million records worldwide and won an Academy Award for Best Original Song for ā€œI Just Called to Say I Love You,ā€ which was featured in the 1984 film, ā€œThe Woman in Red.ā€
