LOCAL: Popular Cleveland Chef Jonathon Sawyer Hit by RTA Bus
CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –
A Cleveland chef struck by an RTA paratransit vehicle while riding his bicycle on Wednesday morning.
The accident happened around 9 a.m. in the 4600 block of Euclid.
Luckily, Chef Jonathon Sawyer was not seriously injured in the crash. Sawyer, whom is a chef and owner at the Greenhouse Tavern, released a statement urging awareness for cyclist safety in the city.
The RTA tells 19 Action News they are glad Sawyer is OK, and plan to investigate the accident.
