J. Lo Is The “Same Girl”

Jennifer Lopez braided the front of her hair and rode the 6 train (with security of course) just to remind us that she’s still that “same girl” from the Bronx.  J. Lo teased us with a photo from the video shoot for her single “Same Girl” earlier this year, giving us a glimpse at the guerrilla style video shoot. The full visuals were released last night and we feel a sense of nostalgia watching the Jenny From The Block” remake. The songs not too bad either… And do we have to mention how fly she looks?!

“Same Girl” is the lead single on Jenny’s 10th album that features collaborations with Future, French Montana, Chris Brown, Robin Thicke, Big Sean and more.

TLC Performs In NYC

With Super Bowl Weekend creeping around the corner, T-Boz and Chilli suited up to brave the cold and perform at VH1′s “VH1′s Super Bowl Blitz” extravaganza in NYC to perform some of the greatest hits for hundreds of NYC fans.

Janelle Monae and J. Cole were just some of the names to also take to the VH1 stage. Check out TLC’s performance with Doug E. Fresh, below:

Jay Z Called A ‘Poor Excuse For A Husband’

Mainstream America hasn’t stopped buzzing about Beyonce and Jay Z’s racy performance at the 2014 Grammys. So far, Beyonce’s been labeled a “wh*re” by the UK newspaper Metro and apparently, it’s Jay Z’s turn to brave the fire. The NY Post called the “Magna Carter” rapper a “poor excuse for a husband” and questioned how any man could watch his wife perform scantily clad.

“What do you call a man who stands there smiling and singing as his scantily clad wife straddles a chair and shakes her rear end for other men’s titillation?

I’m certain if I look through enough Jay Z song titles, I’ll come up with the right name for his role in Beyoncé’s performance at the Grammy Awards Sunday night. Rhymes with Goodyear. . . ? Well, how about I just call him a poor excuse for a husband,” he wrote.

He continued:

It wasn’t surprising to see Jay Z, looking pleased at his wife’s hyper-sexualized exhibition on stage.” After all, “he’s made a living singing lyrics that call women ‘bitches’ and ‘hos,’ so we shouldn’t be surprised that he objectified his own wife on stage.

What we can’t understand is why people are so invested in criticizing Beyonce and Jay Z’s marriage. If it’s one thing we’ve learned, every relationship is different and should not be judged. What works to John may not work for Shawn and vice versa. Perhaps we should spend a little less time writing drawn out articles shaming The Carter’s and worry about our own relationships and children. Or nah?

Prince On “New Girl”

It’s no secret that everyone loves the FOX TV show “New Girl” but when you add Prince to the equation, it changes things. “The purple one” is set to make his “New Girl” debut this Sunday after the Superbowl and we couldn’t be more excited to witness royalty in the fro flesh.
