Mo’Nique Pulls Out Receipts On Lee Daniels

We have to admit it, when Mo’Nique said she was initially offered the role of Cookie on Empire, we were a bit skeptical. Not that we doubted Mo’s talent, we just couldn’t imagine anyone but Taraji P. Henson in the role.

But when we talked to the Blackbird star about the controversy, she challenged Lee Daniels to a public sit down, we knew she was serious. During an interview on “Sway In the Morning,” Mo’Nique literally pulled out the receipts and sipped her beverage while Sway read the emails aloud.

One of the emails read:

“Good Afternoon, Lee Daniels had a conversation with Mo’Nique about his new television pilot for Imagine Tv/Fox called “Empire.” We would like to screen test her for the role of ‘Cookie.’ Please contact us with her television quotes, so that we can start a test, option, deal. We are tentatively looking at Monday, Feb 24 for the screen test. ”

Chris Brown is head over heels in in love with his daughter Royalty an we couldn’t be more happy for him! Chris recently posted photos of his baby girl and we can already tell that Chris is quite the doting father.

It looks like fatherhood has had a positive effect on him.

We’ve known for year how gorgeous Empire star Taraji P. Henson is. But the good folks at People Magazine have just figured it out and named Taraji as one of the 100 Most Beautiful People.

She looks amazing!

Sandra Bullock was named as the official Most Beautiful Woman in the world. We love Sandy but we can’t help but think Taraji was stiffed on this title.

Mendeecees Harris Pleads Guilty To Drug Trafficking Charges

Is the honeymoon over before they even have the wedding?

Mendeecees Harris from the Love & Hip Hop: ATL plead guilty to drug trafficking charges. Harris reportedly spent an hour  admitting his role in a drug trafficking ring from 2005 – 2012 that shipped drugs to the Rochester, NY area.

Under his deal with federal prosecutors, Harris has to turn over all money received from television and personal appearances. He has paid more than $103,000 to the federal government. If convicted, Harris faces between 8- 10 years in prison and a fine between $15,000 – $5 million. He may also face four to five years of supervised release.

The feds don’t play!

The judge is allowing him to remain free until his sentence August 31st. Yandy Smith & Mendeecees Harris’ wedding special is Memorial Day weekend. That gives the couple only three months together before Harris will have to go away. One of Harris’ co-conspirators is already serving 10 years in prison.

We can only imagine what Yandy must be going through considering she just gave birth to their second child in February.
