Vice President Mike Pence is making his way to Columbus Friday during PRIDE week.
Pence has a very unfriendly track record with the LGBTQ community as he has been open about how he believes shock therapy can “cure the gay.” While he was governor of Indiana he passed a law giving businesses the right to not serve gay people.
āWe want to counter that anti-LGBT attitude that they have with a big, positive, loving dance party,” said Jay Smith, one of the organizers.
The vice president will be attending the American First Policies at the Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel.
