The 4th Of July Fills Animal Shelters, Adoption Fees Waived
The holiday brought many dogs missing and lost.
The Franklin County Dog Shelter & Adoption Center is filled once again with many lost pets after the 4th of July. They reported 86 dogs were lost during the holiday.
Half are still unclaimed. The shelter asks if you have lost your pet to please stop by to see if it’s in the shelter. After three days any unclaimed dogs will be evaluated for adoption.

The shelter is waiving the adoption fee in hopes of finding new homes for its animals. You will have until July 8th to adopt a dog and not have to pay the adoption fee.
