NBC4 reports that long-time meteorologist Bob Nunnally has passed away. He was 68. His family confirms he died Sunday morning.
Nunnally stepped away from broadcasting nearly three years ago as he focused on beating pancreatic cancer.
“The family requests privacy during this difficult time as we grieve our loss and personally contact family members,” Nunnally’s family said in a statement. “Thank you for your understanding and kind thoughts.”
From NBC4:
Nunnally successfully beat pancreatic cancer earlier this year but had complications during his recovery period. He entered hospice care on Friday. In his bed, he was covered by one of his most treasured items, a custom-made blanket of favorite photos with his NBC4 colleagues.
For over 40 years Nunnally was integral to central Ohio’s media landscape. He began his tenure with NBC4 in 1994.
