The Ohio State Buckeyes clinched the 2025 national championship by beating Notre Dame, 34-23.

After a devasting and near catastrophic loss against Michigan to end the regular season, Ohio State tore through the first ever 12-team college playoff format. The Buckeyes soundly beat Tennesse and Oregon in the first two rounds, before knocking off Penn State and Notre Dame to clinch their first championship season since 2014.

Several upper-classmen who helped the Buckeyes are expected to play in the NFL next year. Quarterback Will Howard, running back TreVeyon Henderson, offensive lineman Josh Simmon, center Seth McLaughlin, tackle Josh Fryar, and receiver Emeka Egbuka will all be selected in April’s NFL Draft.

The Buckeyes will open 2025 as odd-on favorites to win it all. If the Buckeyes repeat they’d be the first team to win back-to-back national championships since Georgia did it in 2021 and 2022.

But who will the Buckeyes play in 2025? And where will each game take place?

And is the pressure still on head coach Ryan Day to beat Michigan? Or did winning the championship make that Michigan game less important?
